I spotted this from an astute member on twitter and it bears repeating.

The account would seem to be  being used for purposes contrary to the Paypal Acceptable Use Policy:

You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:

… (e) items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime, …

Seems simple.

Now let’s see how, or indeed if,  Paypal has any response to this issue.

Paypal Terms of Service Acceptable Use Policy Prohibited Activities

Update 06-16-2012

Does it seem plausible that George wasn’t planning on or wanting to use his Paypal donations for legal defense purposes?

on twitter:

Court filing: George Zimmerman said ‘hell no’ to using PayPal cash for bond http://bit.ly/M4A8KG

I won’t bother repeating it all here, just go read it!

Furthermore, with regards to the Paypal Acceptable Use Policy, to those whom feel that there has been “no crime” and/or “no conviction” you may notice the word “convicted” nor any form thereof are to be found.

Allow me to remind you about the wikileaks and Regetsy episodes. Paypal sure acted differently then, didn’t they?

Again, if Paypal’s involvement in this sordid affair bothers you, send them a strong message. The only one they will understand. Close your accounts now. Persuade others to do the same.
