The TV news on CNN just reported that ebay will be halting the sales of supernatural potions, curses, spells and related items at the end of this month.
Other than a cheap and fake PR move, I’m not sure why they would suddenly decide to take this course of action?
Ebay has long been known for their association with the Devil Worship and occult set, having even flaunted the fact in their paid ads in days gone by.
How about this little gem?
And although it’s often mentioned as a joke, or particularly as a reductio ad absurdum type response to ebay/paypal criticism by the ebay paid shills, a little known fact is that Paypal is the preferred method of payment for the Church of Satan. That’s the honest to Gawd truth!
After all we’ve seen out of these miscreants at ebaY and Paypal, it’s hard, no, …make that impossible to believe this ban on occult items is motivated by anything noble or altruistic.
Nuff said for now.
I’ll update this with the video as soon as it becomes available.
Update: Great Googly Moogly! It sure didn’t take long for that Paypal button to vanish from the Church of Satan Affiliation webpage. The language relating to Paypal are still there but the button seems to have gone missing. LoLz!
You can still see it here on the Internet Archives Wayback Machine for the page from July 2011.
Here is the video from the news report. Sorry, I have no way to embed that here.
