In yet another sure sign of decline, ebaY has suddenly made a prominent change to it’s ebaY Bucks incentives program.
Beginning January 1st, 2014, members will no longer receive the incentives if the value is less than $5.00.
NOTICE OF UPDATED TERMS TO THE EBAY BUCKS REWARDS PROGRAM
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2014
Summarized notice of updated terms to the eBay Bucks Program Terms and Conditions.
- Purchases within the eBay Motors category (including Parts & Accessories) will no longer be eligible for earning Rewards.
- An Eligible Participant must earn $5.00 or more in eBay Bucks in a calendar quarter in order to receive an eBay Bucks Certificate, as described in more detail below.
This appears to be an impromptu change. Members are reporting receiving an email notification. Neither the ebay Bucks help overview or the enrollment page shows any mention of the change thus far.
There are other sites out there such as retailmenot and ebates dot com where people can seek alternatives. One or two quick looks around this blog or the interwebz current events will show you plenty of other reasons to never, ever use ebay or paypal.
